MISSION STATEMENT
The Florida Institute of Government (FIOG) of the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of South Florida Tampa was established by the Legislature in 1981 as part of a consortium of universities that share a statewide mission. The institute was recently renamed in honor of John Scott Dailey, its founding executive director.
The mission of FIOG is:
“to increase the effectiveness and quality of government in Florida through applied research, training, technical assistance programs and public service.”
